1.A Category – High Range (440 voltage to high range work)
2.B Category – Medium Range (220-440 voltage work)
3.C Category – Low range (up to 220 voltage work)
To put it more clearly,
There are basic electrical works in C-category. Such as- house wiring.
Category B includes industrial control works including basic electric. Such as- motor.
A category includes B and C category work as well as overhead line work (substations, transformers, magnetic contacts).
One can apply in any one or all categories together if one wants under one license. However, it is not possible to take A by excluding C or B by excluding B.
Eligibility for ABC License A diploma or BSc engineer can get this license.
Eligibility to apply for Electrical Supervisor Certificate Examination:
Many apply even after becoming a fresher.
Where to get ABC Electric License / ABC License?
This license is issued by the Office of the Electrical Adviser and Chief Electrical Inspector (website: https://e-service.ocei.gov.bd/). It is circular 4 times a year.
Electrician 2 times – March and October.
Supervisors and contractors 2 times – June and December
